So hello, this is my first battle report (with my beastmen), this doesn't mean I haven't played with them before, just wanted to type this one in. (Well, maybe it will get a good habit, who knows.)

Anyways, background yes? Well, I was going to a local tournament with my beasts (not very confident with them, but heck), the first battles weren't very exciting, merely a miss match with magic being overpowered and daemons... (come on, you know the drill, they use the same tactics all of them almost.)

Well, in four battles I managed to pull out two minor victories, one draw and one major loss. (come on, those daemons were going tzeentch!) But finally, an exciting match! Against the mighty ogre kingdoms, my beastlord was to be tested truly at hes skills. My list were something like this (and yes, horde of chaos book were allowed, only for beasts of chaos since they felt they lacked... a lot.)

My list:

Beastlord Gracktsna. Never failed me, he were armed with the mighty armor of damnation, crown of horns (more for the extra ld when rallying) slaughterers blade and a shield. (should not have equipped slaughteres blade, but hey...)

A tzeentch wargor bsb. And two bray shamans (one with mark of slaanesh). A small 10 man strong khorngor unit (yes this unit worked wonders, believe it or not), two herds (characters goes here) two tzeentch and one slaanesh. And then five hounds units. That was core units that is... 10 centigors, shield and full command, Throwing axes (everyone gets crazy once in a while) 4 minotauers with great weapon, and then one of my favorite units, 2 spawns of slaanesh.

He had, three butchers, one tyrant (the tyrant, being obviously the general) 3 bulls units, two gnoblars, some weird skirmish gnoblars, three iron guts and one maneaters. He along in the mix had put two units of leadbelchers, one of those big beasties there pops up behind of your lines, gorgor I think it were... something like that.

Anywho, we deployed, the hounds being my favorite first deploy unit (always deploys those first so I can deploy my main units in counter for hes units.)

I'm NOT very good at making things like this, but I'll try and show my battle line and hes =P

H= Hounds BH= Beast herd K= Khorngors M= minos C= centigors SP= Spawns CH= chairots F= Forest

CH CH M BH K
H SP C H BH H H H

FFFFFFFFFFF
M LB LB B B B G I G
,,, I ,,,,,,,,, I

M= Maneaters B= Bulls LB= Leadbelchers G=gnoblars I= Ironguts (The gnoblars skirmish was in the forest, scout obviously)

Okay, that was tiresome (both for me and probably for you, if you understood it at all) Now I won't write it all down (that would be tiresome indeed!) but just the things I remember more clearly then the rest ;] (IE, the good parts!)

For the very first time in the tournament, I got turn 1! I rolled a 6 and he rolled a 1, pretty obvious right there.

Beast turn one: Just moved everything, actually charged the centigors at the Gnoblars, they fled obviously) And magic completely fluffed as usual. (I fluff that a lot.) But at least I got a scroll burned from hes side.

Ogre turn one: Moved everything up and positioned, shot and hauled magic utterly down at the centigors, not making them panic, no that would be too sweet, no they annihilated that unit completely. Aww... But dispelled everything else luckily, so phew for this turn. (noticed ogre magic is completely evil).

Beast turn two: I could see in hes face he feared an ambush on the flanks. I told him I didn't have any. And he looked like he was going to fight a too easy battle... That is not a funny thing to do against me... Moved the khorngors dangerously close to Ironguts on the flank, got everything positioned for the next turn, the third turn had to be the turn to be. Magic, got much better. Got that, dellusions spell of (whatever it is called from slaanesh lore) and made hes irongut with tyrant run directly towards the center of my unit, seriously, that unit would run or die.

Ogre turn two: The leadbelchers reloaded, looking very ebil at the spawns who, still very slow, but were a tad to close to them. The maneaters charged hounds who fled, and then redirected into the first spawn, pwn'ing it in close combat. Nothing much happened, except for him trying to magic me, failing, but he boosted several units.

Beast turn three: My middle line all charged the ogres with general. (Meaning, herd with general, chariot and mino's. He fled. But not enough! Muhahah!) Magic once again pulled up and I got a bull unit to run up in front of me, that unit had a tasty butcher in it.

Ogre turn three. He tried charing hes gnoblar plus Ironguts with butcher against my khorngors (the hounds had already been running around and dieing all over if anyone wondered what they were doing) but were out of reach... yes! He now had a nice khorngor herd in front of him and a nice unit of 5 hounds on hes flanks. Wow. Except for that, he still hesitated, trying to pull out more magic, but burning of a scroll I kept of the worst.

Beast turn four. I could feel this was a good match now. Charging hes Ironguts and gnoblar unit (they were right beside each other, the other gnoblar unit was seriously bickering among themselves) and a hound unit in the flank of the before rank giving gnoblar unit, he weren't very happy. My beasts once again charged, now against hes bulls. This time he held, maybe he wished for a good overrun from me to position myself badly? No thank you. A hound unit got into this charge as well, only a herd and a hound unit. I won, obviously, they fled, restrained herd and ran them down with the dogs. Won the gnoblar Ironguts fight, but not by a bunch as hoped and they stayed. Me was not very happy. (we don't like combats longing more than one round.)

Ogre turn four. The dogs got charged, by bull unit who had waited, like, right in front of it. I didn't care for fleeing with it, so I just stayed, it would die anyways. The other bull unit tried to charge my herd, but was found out of range. Magic didn't see much, a butcher was suddenly gone aye. Hes maneaters tried to shoot at a slanesh chariot, but fluffed rolls and now they probably had a chariot in their faces in their next turn. Why they didn't charge, I think it was because must of hes charges beforehand had been found out of range.

Beasts turn five. I felt like closing this down. The slaanesh charged the maneaters, them staying, and whoops, a spawn actually got into fight with them too! Whoo, something useful from a spawn! O= The ironguts and gnoblars finally broke, and got run down, yay for good rolls. Really, this was just a charge a lot and break a lot winning turn for the beasts and by the end of this turn, he had one gnoblar unit, one bulls there were fleeing, one leadbelchers there were fleeing, a maneaters in a combat they would probably stay in for long, a unit of ironguts and that being that. He conceded and I claimed my very first massacre victory! O= (With beasts)

Congrats on the win!

Oh thank you, it was not the hardest win, but neither one of the easy one I must admit, and the battle was fun!
