And don't forget Untergor. Remember that above all else, we'll always have Untergor

QUOTE (Baphomet @ Nov 17 2009, 02:04 AM)
I think he is refering to the fact that since you can't currently give herds marks the only way to give a benefit to a herd from a mark is with a character with mark of N. The other marks don't actually help the herd when a character of that mark is included.

@ Charistoph: Yep, that's what I was talking about.

Sorry about the confusion, I thought I was being clear. But you are correct, the marks were okay, but the number you could take were too low. And they, except MoN, didn't affect the Herds. I think all will be fixed when we get our stand alone book, let's face it our current book depended heavily on Hordes of Chaos to fill certain weaknesses. Not to say we couldn't win games, but I felt like I was fighting for a draw if I didn't use a few units from HoC.

I hope we can, it makes sense for the "Chosen Children of Chaos!*"

Sorry about that bit of off topic decker we weren't exactly trying to lead it off astray we were just kind of commenting a bit on the date that was posted but I guess we kind of let it go a bit further than that.

Marking herds will be handy I mean do they really expect us to think as Chaos, MD showed from our current book that us being the chosen children of chaos we shouldn't be able to mark more of our things

Unless they go the route of WoC and give us will of chaos and the way they did those marks which we won't know until we have our new book in our hands unless they show it in WD or something.

Ah yes...

My whole army was T4, the hounds had two ST4 attacks each too! With ONLY a move of 6 though....I could live with that. Only one unit of skirmishers though per army. Ravening Hordes was good to me!

I liked hounds with only a 6" move. They only fled 2D6 thus almost always got runned down which allowed me to screw up all sorts of battle lines. Not like they rally any better now.

Im acrtually hoping they drop the Marks as they are in WoC.
Id like to see the Beastmen to be more undivided in nature but with gifts and mutations clearly influenced by the 4 powers.
Perhaps something like I roll a D6 for each character and the characters then get a Mutation depending on the roll. And perhaps some way that points could be spent on access to more powerful mutations but still in the end you get mutations the way. Perhaps something similar to how spell selection for a magician works except its not spells but inbuilt abilities for the character.

The age of man is nearing its end. Soon the world as you know it will be but a faint memory for I have been preparing for this day for eons beyond rememberance. You cannot even begin to fathom what is being set in motion and what forces are marching against you at this very moment. All standing between me and world domination is this acursed math test...
Gor 7 pts, Ungor 4 pts, Vitrivitrotriviowhateverpoisonbanner. Must have unit size 13, 17, 21 or 25. Poison for Hounds. Chaos Armour for the shaman... AAAARRR!!!! 2001 pts total! Damnit!
By the cursed toenail of Malal I will have my revenge!

No thank you on the random mutation. Seriously it doesn't work for the chaos space marines it really isn't going to work here. I have a real problem with it for characters as well.

The WoC marks are really good for beasts. I like the idea of them. I just can't see them giving them to us.

I remember the "gift" cards from 5th edition (??) - those were rather cool and I enjoyed their randomness (even the ever classic "transparent skin" which apparently didn't do anything).

Transparent skin should cause 'disgust' in the opponent. toughness check or unable to fight due to doubling over and emptying one's stomach...
