Seeing as several newer members are interested in keeping the entries anonymous, I'm changing my vote to that.

I'm for the "uploading images without telling whose mini it is".

I don't honestly see how this could be made smile.gif

Btw, I could even partecipate... *waits for people to say "oooooh"*

"oooooh"*

*as requested

Ok - as we have that settled (at least for this event) - who's going to wow us this time around with entries?

I'm at least planning on a herd myself.

Well, I think it sucks that people are withholding pictures of finished minis, as they may be featured in a competition.
I won't do that, and as the competition theme consistently is something I've recently finished and already posted I doubt I'll enter anything.

I see mrtn's point, but I don't think the anonymity of entering should preclude you from entering something you've already posted elsewhere - please clarify, does it?

I believe he is thinking that a picture posted somewhere may tip a hand as to whose entry is whose.

If someone wants to research a bit, all the painters can, for the most part, be identified.

Only thing going into this one should be that no names will be assigned to the entries.

So you CAN enter a model you've already posted in your diary - thanks for the clarification, BK! Just go for it, mrtn, I can usually recognise your unique painting style anywhere anyway! smile.gif

Well it is a common practice for any web contest (not only in painting miniatures). First- it is likely not to be anonymous any more
Second- you lose the surprising effect, which results as a lower score for a better entry.

A couple of quick questions:

1) Can the models be on a display base?

2) If so, can both the spawn and the herd be on the same display base?

3) Do the models all have to be from the beastmen regiment plastics, or can we use anything that is truly representative of the concept of beast herd/spawn (like fish men instead of beast men, for example)?

I should be submitting a herd at least... need to work out a good concept for a spawn before I decide on whether to do one as well.

Sorry, missed the update.

QUOTE

Yes

QUOTE

Yes, but voting may be tricky / somewhat biased (either for or against) - prefer to see only the category entry per photo.

Not limited to the plastic regiment at all.

Times a ticking - I know I am behind again. Have one submission all ready though!
