Looks like there just tweeking pretty much the same list over and over again now. This one looks like it's going to be wrap. With just a minor twist here or there, but there a 90% chance this is what your going to see come late November/ December.

Lords:
Beastlord
Great Bray Shaman
Doombull [magicial weapons and mutations only]
note- Lords can buy Chaos Armour for 10 pts

Hero's:
Wargor
Bray Shaman
Centigor

Core:
Beast Herd [rank up 5 wide]
Bestigors
Centigors [fast cav]
Warhounds

Special:
Tuskgor Chariots [2-1 choice]
Minotaurs [become core choice with Doombull]
Chaos Ogres
Dragon Ogres

Rare:
Chaos Giant
Shaggoth
Spawns
Gorgon - [stat line: M8 WS5 S5 T5 W5 I3 5A]

New rule change: If your General decides not to ambush, your general can have the chance for Beast Herd units to scout. [roll a D6]
1-2: Beast Herds are drunk and do not Scout
3-4: 1 unit of Beast Herds can Scout
5-6: 2 units of Beast Herds can scout

New models: Bestigors, Mino's, Dragon Ogre, Shamans, Beastlord/Wargor & Gorgon.

Lords can take 100 pts of magic items & 100 points of Chaos Mutations/Gifts. Hero's can take up to 50 points of magical items and 50 points of Chaos Mutations/Gifts.

Some interesting new items or Chaos Mutations/Gifts: [Mutations/Gifts can only be taken once]

* banner that turns Bestigors into Raider's like Beast Herds *
* breath gift * [breaths fire 25 pts]
* extra Two Arm Mutation * [adds +2 attacks to profile 50 pts]
* extra Horn * [adds a extra attack on the charge 20 pts]
* Hoof of Speed [double M5 model 30 pts]
* Stone Skin * [+2 to your armour save 25 pts]
* Staff of Darkoth is a bound item *
* Troll Hide * [50 pts for Regeneration]
* Unholy Beast Strength [+1S for 25 pts]
* Bloodstone Braystaff* [Arcane item that gives a +1LD to Shamans and +2 MR for 50 pts]

Spell Lores: Beasts of Nurgle, Slaanesh and Tzeentch are getting there own new lores. Very close to the WoC new lores with minor change to the lists. For Tzeentch player's I was told boon of Tzeentch is in there.

Inside thoughts from play tester's are: That a Doombull with Chaos Mutations can rival a Vampire Lord as a combat character now. Plus Chaos Armour & Stone Skin give him nice protection at 2+ armour save. He expects Doombull to be the most popular Lord choice!

Also by turning the Centigors into Fast Cav there no need to add flyers into a Beast of Chaos army. Between this move and the new Gorgon & Chaos Mutations, BoC should be able to compete very well in 7th edition.

I was told that they feel this list will pretty much go to print. That Games-Workshop and play testers are all happy with the end results so far. Will post more information as I get it. As I asked for the new lores so I can play test with my friends myself.

I like what I'm seeing, looks pretty much like I thought it would. The thing I'm most excited about is the new models! Do you know if there will be any significant point changes?

My 1st thought is that I will be pleasantly surprised if that is what the list looks like. <edit: that is an understatement, as I would be -very- happy about it. >

The only thing that immediately stands out as a "uh-oh" is will there still be some type of MoCU or panic re-roll protection (assuming leadership is unchanged.)

Thanks for sharing - nice to have something new to discuss!

Looks like a fine basis for the list. I've never been unhappy with the variety offered in our list, just as long as it has an appropriate playstyle and is sufficiently effective. So really, I can see no problem with that list as long as the points costs, stats and special rules are appropriate. tongue.gif

The scouting rule sounds really cool.

Wow, that looks like beasts pretty much fixed for 7th ed; I was worried that the list would become too stripped or too overhauled to resemble the BoC army we love.

There are a few things which aren't so cool, it is a shame there is no minotaur hero, but a centigor option will be nice for replacing the old mounted aspiring champions I used to use to lead my non-core troops (though hoof of speed seems to have a similar effect).

Any word on mark issues, such as mark mixing, marked units and mark effects, GoC?

Thanks for keeping us updated!

Thanks GoC, its always nice to see some rumours about us, though given all the other stuff I've seen I'm not so sure about the November-December release dates...

Nothing to extreme in there, though I guess we didn't really need too much other than a few stupid rule fixes, though I'm a little worried about the Special Slot Bottleneck.

Although the mutations thing is nice and some sound pretty cool, it does feel a little unoriginal tongue.gif

No word about Stat Changes? particularly the LD area?

Edit: Hehe, Herdstone might start getting busy shortly smile.gif

I do not have a copy of the play list, just took notes as I talked long distance over sea. But I believe it'd Tuskgor Chariots, Mino's, Spawns, Characters and Bestigors.

It's just like WoC you can mix and match in your army without restrictions.

Cool, thanks for getting back so quick.

Don't you think it is funny the way they have been umming and aaahing over including/excluding drogres in BoC?

Also its a shame Trolls aren't in your list. For me I can imagine them popping up in pretty much any wilderness area in warhammer; Im suprised WoC and OnG get them but BoC don't.

Maybe trolls will be umm-aahed back to the list in time for final print.

Thanks for the update man, great stuff.

Strange were keeping Dragon Ogres + Getting another powerfull monster Gorgon. That gives us Dragon Ogres, Gorgon, Shaggoth and Giant all very similar rare types, i was hoping for something new and cool sad.gif

I wont be touching beasts if beast herds stay as is and are 5 wide. And id consider refusing to play opponents who field beast herd units because I just cant see the fun of a 2 hour opponent movement phase as he moves 100+ individual models.

I dont want to see skirmishing hordes.

I think Gors need to have ST4, i have all my herds on movement trays so it's not too bad for me but i bet it is a pain in the arse moving them all individually.

Really? I don't use movement trays, but you only need to measure a few models, then can move everything else pretty casually. I don't think it's much, if any slower than moving with movement trays.

Good to know we are likely getting some fast cav, but none of this fixes our leadership problem or the fact that ambush is not that good.

The possibility of scouting herds sounds fun, but if I'm not ambushing I don't want to possibly get the ability to scout. I want to know beforehand.

And a unit of 21 scouts will find it hard to find a forest big enough. Scouting works great with small missile units, it's less of a point for large non shooty units even though you might get to combat faster. I still don't want a herd alone at the front line.

The changes in units look good and with scouts it will probably be a lot of fun to play, but without knowing the changes to points and options it's hard to say anything definitive.

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
Any news is good news cause it means someone is doing some work somewhere.

Thanks for inside information GoC.
