Sent my inside source an e-mail a few days ago, he sent me this information back. Looks like BoC will be getting a new monster in the BoC army book. He told me every new play testing list, has this new monster in it. He told me that GW is pushing it down the play tester's throats. That there is even a model for it, so he says it's going to happen 100%.

It's: M8 WS5 S5 T5 W5 I3 5A on a chariot base.

armour piercing, S4 or S5 breath weapon [depends on what play testing list] it's either stubborn or unbreakable [depends on what play testing list]

It can also be given diffrent marks:

Slaanesh: always strike first
Nurgle: extra wound or posion attacks [depends on what list]
Khorne: S6 and frenzy
Tzeentch: 5+ ward save

At last I was able to give out some good news on BoC, remember I broke this news first!

This sounds like it is the rumoured Gorgon, a fire breathing monster bull... This is the first I've seen on anything more than a name, so a big thanks for that. smile.gif

He said it has armour piecing claws, think more like like Slaanesh Daemons then a bull! [but could be wrong]

GoC

ah! you refer to the new Scorpigor?

It does look interesting.

Does anyone know how to get hold of the current designers?

I want them to give raiders a new rule to demonstrate the intimidating charge of a beast herd. Any unit that is charged by a raiders unit that doesn't make a flee reaction must reform and assume a formation with no more than 4 files ride. It would be the sweetest revenge tongue.gif

But seriously, if this creature is going to be included in the new book I'm very excited to see the model and fluff. It sounds kind of like a giant fiend of slaanesh at the moment (the one with the claws and tail!)

I have a distinct impression that this is going to be in place of a shaggoth. If you take that one step further that means we lose the dragon ogres too. I would give it about a 90/10 split that we lose all things dragon ogre in the new book, because there are no forest in the mountains.

In addition to a new monster, which I now know BoC are getting, I'd like to see gargoyles! A cool flying unit to replace furies.

That was the first thing that I thought too. I've got my fingers crossed though
that the marks for units and characters stays pretty much the same and that
this will just be that effect of marks on this paricular monster. sad.gif

I seriously hope it gets an armor save, otherwise it'll be extremely easy to kill.

Sounds fun.
Looks like a good start for the 7th ed beasts.
The breath weapon makes it plausible that this is the Gorgon.
I guess we'll know more when the first pictures of minis start leaking.

I hope it's not simply some sort of bull mutant. BOOORRRRIIINNNGGG. WE already have those. Would much rather prefer a Chimera or Jabberwock, or at least a Gorgon that looks a lot different to a raging bull...
