Okay, after work this summer I think I might actually have picked up the motivation needed to get going with my chaos dwarfs. After taken whole summer to complete this filler for my black orcs and my black orcs:

The slavemaster is supposed to be standing on the shield in the center of the black orc unit.

Today I sat myself down with a few guns and this is the result:

I also made these, but I canīt be bothered to make new pictures.

So after the guns are done I think I might actually be inspired to continue and complete something. Waddya say, cheer me up and Iīll show more!

EDIT: Can a mod change the word "wiched" to "wicked" in the title, please? smile.gif

Awsome idea for the unit filler!

Man I love chaos dwarfs. I'm glad GWs aren't open late night or everything I go out drinking with my buddies in town I'd probably end up going to gW and buying a bunch of BFSP boxes to start a CD army smile.gif

Have you got to use the list at all recently? I hear they are actually a pretty decent army (maybe not top tier, but decent).

I did proxy them half a year ago or something and the list is so different than beasts! Sure, a few things are almost broken but most things are quite balanced and while the list is lacking I canīt wait until I may unveil this army on a tourney. smile.gif

I like your unit filler a lot too. Your gs work is looking good. I would moan and bellyache for better pics, but luckily the 'violence of the lambs' is clearly visible in the backdrop and that makes me all fuzzy inside.

Thanks man. The blurry pics are of models in the same style as my old one, I can dig up a few. But better will come when I assembly them completly, they still need arms and masks. smile.gif (and about 35-45 of them need a shaving and fake beard ninja.gif )

Those are still old so the new ones will be better, and that blunderbuss was just a mock-up, my new ones have sharper edges. smile.gif

So started painting my BLorcs today. I have been busy lately but it looks like I can again start to paint a little.

Almost finished a BLorc, did a test piece. He still need some touch ups and details, and of course the dip. smile.gif

Oh, you are back with this project - nice!

I really love Chaos Dwarfs, wishing myself to be as brave to try out a major converting project... But, I think I'll settle on the hope of them getting a new book with models, and maybe then I could do minor conversions and instead take inspirations from other peoples grander projects.

Looks nice, your Blorc... However I'd like to see your dwarfs more, so get to it!

I will follow this one, and hope for many updates!

No pictures this time, but I have been painting a little bit today. First of, mein gut, black orcs are killing me! Took me over an hour to just make the red on the armour on only three models. I must be really out of the loop.

But after your wishes to see stunties I painted up a blunderbusser and slabbed on some dip so in a couple of days I can probably show a model. I donīt live where I paint so it might take a little while, but just wanted you to know. smile.gif

The day they release Chaos Dwarfs (hopefully), I'll trade everything away and try to be first in line. Keep it comin'.

People like you can only help to get this army off the drawing table.

Nice black orc thus far - but your CD's are most impressive.

Update time. Next batch of red on my black orcs went a bit faster, only 40 mins for 3 minis of red this time. laugh.gif

But I started on my ogre filler and completed another blunderbuss at the same session, so it feels good.

Here is my first dipped and a blunderbuss pre-dip. Just need to remove it from the base and glue it to a real one and try my matt varnish before I can call the dipped one completed. smile.gif

I like how the end result looks, but what is on helm as a face guard? I'm not sure how I feel about it. I think it should blend a little more in with the helm....maybe if you cut it in half vertically to reduce its thickness.

Thanks for the feedback. Those things on the faceguard are my take on masks. Sure, it might be a bit quick but it looks better in reality, especially when there is a whole unit of them. I have the lower part of the spider icons from the old night goblins on the blunderbusses and the upper part on the hand weapon+shield warriors, at least thatīs the plan. smile.gif
