I've started back on my skaven army that I abandoned a fair while ago. I've been assembling stuff and enjoying the new plastics from the battalion. Here's the plastic warlord that I've put together. The pictures suck, but I'll get better with a little practice.

The warlord is using bits from each of the skaven plastic sets. I wanted a warlord different than the basic one to use with 'weeping blade' and shield, but didn't want to use the 5th edition warlord (he's my SV champion).

Instead of a weeping blade, he has a magic morningstar/plague censor, but I like how it makes a model the same size as the other models around him seem a little bigger (the cape is there for the same reason).

I'll try to improve my photography as I go on.

Haven't seen a lot of skaven armies. I'm looking forward to more pictures. The warlord looks very dynamic, and the weapon helps a lot. cool.gif

Not sure - he looks a little too brave.

There's at least four of them. tongue.gif

Nice skaven decker, looking forward to more. As to photography and eventual suckage you can fix a lot of things in post production in Photoshop or similar.

Ok, that Warlord was sorta a teaser and one of the more unique models I had in the army.

Now for an overview of where I'm starting for the army:

Here's some Jezzails I had painted last time I made an attempt at the army:

They need a few details and a little cleanup, but are nearly finished. I'm not sure where the pavises are at the moment, but they'll turn up. That's the general paint scheme the clanrats and most of the rest of the army will follow.

Here's the BSB I half painted last night. I don't have all my colours with me, but he looks good already. I need to do highlighting etc.. on him still (and his dark fur is still just basecoat).

Next are the other conversions I have for the army so far.

The Rat Ogre is a simple arm swap on a 6th edition metal rat ogre. I used a plastic arm on a metal rat ogre:

And here's the unit I was working on a fair bit last week:

I think they look pretty snazzy.

Sweet I love skaven like my 3rd favorite army after BoC and Chaos Dwarfs. They are quite so nice an hope you finish them. The worst thing is buying models an never completing them ohmy.gif in my eyes.

Looking good! Some solid conversion work!

My only suggestion would be to give us a color than contrasts nicely with the blue. I love that color choice, but I would love to see some yellow, or gold.

I've seen Decker's beasts in person ;p They are pretty solid! Similar color choices if I remember correctly.
