I'm re-starting beasts (hopefully I'll stick with it this time). Here are the first 30 points. No conversion, just a bit of speed painting, atleast for me. smile.gif

My army should be in black and bone, for my gors and ungors I'll reverse the scheme.

Interesting with turquoise horns, is that the new army colour?
Nice painting and basing. As you might see the gap down the middle shows up surprisingly well after painting, maybe try to GS it for the next unit (or GS it more, if you did something here).

Looking forward to more. smile.gif

Looks nice still. smile.gif

Bone skin, then Black fur, I assume.

Amazing stuff, especially for speed-painting! wink.gif

I'm going to tabletop paint some WoC, to go with my tiny retinue, but I can't rush my BoC!

No definately no turquoise horns on my herds! laugh.gif The turquoise (scaly green) was a bit of an experiment for me. Usually I try to paint stuff as "life-like" as possible, but bone-colored horns were not working very well with the light fur. So I thought why not try the scaly green and go for a poisonous look. I ended up liking that a lot, so I went with that on all the minis.

Though overall these are nice miniatures the sculpts are horrible, 4 out of 5 hounds had a 1mm wide gap on their heads. I filled up that gap with GS, with some I filled up the fur and the back a bit as well. But mostly I tried to use paint to make the gap on the back less visible.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. smile.gif

@ Shaggothlord, Chaos MD has it right, the other beasts in the army will get bone colored skin and black fur. I'm going for a Malalian (?) look.

@ Kawazu, the paintscheme is as follows:

Fur: Dheneb stone (base), devlan mud (heavy wash), kommando khaki (highlight), (50/50) kommando khaki/skull white (final highlight)
skin: (50/50) Charonite granite/scorched earth (base), black (wash), re-apply base, add bleached bone to the base for final highlight.
Mutations: Scaly green, black wash, scaly green (highlight), (50/50) scaly green/skull white

Spikes and teeth: bleached bone with grypphone sephia wash, bleached bone highlight.
Mouth: scab red, tanned flesh, baal red wash.

This is a lighter splash and color of another painter here on the forum that was doing custom green stuff and had a wonderful light brown/tan/tawny white scheme with turquoise cloth. He was doing it with older models and an overall darker scheme but both are beautiful in their simplicity and the ability for the turquoise/scaly green to catch the eye from the simpler colors.

Usually I don't do WIP shots, but tonight I've noticed this is really going to be a big project for me.. (Something I'm definately not used to.) So I thought I'd make an exception.

Here's what I'm working on. A chariot which is basically a collection of stuff I've bought during one or another shopping spree and never touched again. Yes... I'm a warhammer-shopaholic. sad.gif The annoying thing is that to finish it I need to buy another warboss. cool.gif
I can forsee that fitting everything together is going to be a problem, but or now I'm not trying to think about that....too much.

Wow, just today I was internetting and scheming on buying corpsecarts for just this reason.
Also, check out:Hoard O Bits , they may have that boar without having to buy the whole boss. They tend to be pretty awesome.

Love the colour scheme. Any chance we can see the chariot from the other side?
