2d6 Challenge is one of the biggest tournaments here in Norway. Almost 50 players (3 or 4 BoC) and a lot of fun.

5x Centigors, LA, Shield, Axes, Mus
3x Minos, MoCU, GW
3x Minos, MoCU, GW
3x Dragon Ogres, LA, GW
2x Fiends of Slaneesh

I've modified my goals for this year as well.

1 - I want to win a battle.
2 - I want to beat one of my friends.
3 - I want to be the best BoC player.
4 - I want to have the best painted BoC army.

The first game starts in 3 hours or something like that and now I got to eat breakfast and get my ass over to the tournament.

Wish me luck.

Battle reports will appear here at a later time.

Best of luck, and look forward to reading the batrep. I quite like your list as well, you have my two favourite units, slaanesh spawns and centigors.

Hmmm, seems like I should have posted here and not in my regular battle rep topic.

Well, Copy/Paste for teh w1n!!

First day of the tournament is over and I've done way better than I did last year.

I'll try to write up something better later, but for now the results will have to do.

First battle was against some dwarves with anvil. Started pretty lousy, but after the anvil blew up I picked off most of his army except the big blocks of hammerers and longbeards. A victory for me, although it was a small one.

Next up is an empire list with a steam tank and a war altar. Capture scenario and a draw.

The I face some high elves and loose by some points.

My slaneesh spawns have performed incredibly well and all in all I'm pretty happy with the day.

Best moment must have been the 6th round successful casting of the Oxen Stand to rally a herd with shaman shot to pieces.

3 beast armies at the tournament and although none of us are doing great we all have managed one victory.

The battles continued on sunday and my first opponent has a beautiful Ogre army with a couple of terror causers. Unfortunately for me I fail a couple of key Ld rolls and see my lines start to crumble. Massive failure describes it best. In the end I only have my DO's who have been chasing a giant most of the time and one single mino (who had taken out his scrap launcher) left. Easily a massacre for him.

The last game started good, then started going badly. A nice and soft Dark Elf army with no hydra, just one spell caster, nothing really bad. He fluffs all shooting and magic in the first round. So things are looking good until my Khornegors pursue one inch to short to get the charge on the next batle and is instead charged by his biggest block of spears, +6 static CR.

But then I manage to turn it all around again by panicking his other spears, the one with the level 4 off the table with some well placed A Crows Feast, and the bolt thrower spell took out some knights. Marginal victory for me.

So, How did my results compare to the goals I had set myself.

I've modified my goals for this year as well.

1 - I want to win a battle.

I won 2, not big wins, but a victory is still a victory.

2 - I want to beat one of my friends.

1 co-worker beat me.
1 friend beat me
2 old friends beat me
However I did beat a friend of my girlfriend, and I think he used to be store manager at the GW store. 40k Was his big thing, but he still won best painted and racked up quite a few points for that.

3 - I want to be the best BoC player.

Unfortunately not. I came in third of the three beast. 45 players and Beasts finished 21, 33, 34 with me on the 34th. I did however have 2 minos in the beast list that did best. It was a doom bull army and I think it was Khorne marked.

4 - I want to have the best painted BoC army.

According to the judges I did.

So I managed 2 out of 4. I can live with that.
Next time I'm playing in a tournament I'll either take a doombull list or go hog wild with a special character. Either that or we'll have a new book and there might be some viable builds without spamming chariots or going the Khorne Doombull route.
