IT'S FAR FROM DEAD

Miyu's vision blurred slightly. She had been able to grasp the one bullet that had lodged itself in her leg. Her fingers burned where they too touched the metal. Her skin refused to heal where the wound was and her fingertips were scorched and bloddy red. Wincing aginst the pain, she yanked it out and tossed it aside.

She tried to stand but but only manged to sit up and watch. She grabbed her chest where the scond bullet had lodged itself. He tore at ehr skin tears starting to flow down her pale sace as the sensation felt like it was tearing a large hole into her chest. Her fingers dug around the hole looking for the bullet. She could just fel the metal point of it.

She cried out pushing deeper into the smallcavity and grabbed the bullet with her forefinger and thumb. Several times it slipped and slide back down to the hole. Biting her lips to keep from cring out any louder and giving Alraic the satisfaction of knowing he hurt her, she reached one more time gabbing the bullet. She yanked it out finally and tossed it aside. She fell back onto the pavement willing her broken body to heal itself, but for some reason it refused to.

Alaric wasn't stupid. He knew it wasn't a good idea to take on two vampires alone without planning ahead. He was sure he could handle Vivienne, after all she was a day walker, but together with Miyu? He decided to take to the rooftops and leave them, for now.

Vivenne let him go, it was more important to help Miyu right now. As she walked towards her Vivenne heard a dull clink as the bullet hit the pavement. Miyu stood up, a gaping hole in her chest where she had dug out the bullet. Vivenne gasped, but as she did so she noticed the wound starting to heal rapidly.

"Are you all right Miyu?"

"I am now, that bastard was using silver bullets, its a good thing you came along to distract him so I had a chance to dig it out before it did any real damage"

"Hes gone for now, but hes not one to stay away for long, and when he comes back next time he'll only be better prepared. What do you think we should do next?"

Most of the damage had healed itself, but there was still tissue that refused to heal. She couldn't shake the feeling of the burning sensation in her skin. "How did you know to come anyway?" Miyu asked suddenly. She continued to rub her chest trying to get the hole to heal quicker.

"I don't know what else was i that bullet, but it had to have been made from melted crosses or somthing. Whoever that was they know exactly what they are doing. they better not come across me again. I plan on being ready!"

She gasped as a shot of pain shot through her system. "Do we have anything to cleanse wounds back at the warehouse?" She asked quickly. If she could was the wound out with a saline solution maybe that would cause it to heal faster.

Alaric had had his back to the alley. He could sense somthing but brushed it off at first. Then he was surprised when he was attacked from behind. This full blooded Vampire must know the one he had just shot at. He could tell that even if she didn't get all the bullets out right away, he would have trouble killing either of them tonight.

He grabbed his shoulder where the rapier had gone in stunned that it went as far as it had since it was still sheathed. He laughed in cold blood. This was all they had? Even though they were bot vampires themselves, this was all they had? They would not be able to defeat him so easily. Not when he had bullets of holy water and silver.

He backed off for now though as he was low on bullets and did not want to miss when he killed either of them later. He jumped away and headed to the rooftops. His black clothing blending in with the night air soon all that was left was a patch of floating red from his hair. Every so often it would raise when he jumped, pretty soon that too was gone.

Zeke had mapped out the 5 areas he would check. In four days or less he would have the location of the vampires in the warehouses. But to do that he would have to check 5 warehouses a day. Grueling work, but in the end it would be worth it. If he could find that one girl...the one that got away.

He had searched for years and not found her but know thank to some inside sorces, he knew she was close, but he wasn't sure where she was hiding. Maybe he could stage somthing and get her out in the open. But then again she would be to smart for that. Many vampires are that smart.

He put his map away again and layed down. He closed his eyes and thought about the different strategies he could use if he did find any vampires his irst day. Since vampires slept at night, he didn't know their were daywalkers yet, then he would find them in the day and stake them through the heart. It sounded simple, and then he would be able to remove her fangs....then maybe he would capture her and do that first. Torture her a bit before killing her.

He thought of different ways to kill her and torture her while he drifted off to sleep. Even in his dreams he came up with new ways, like remind her how he killed her lover. He wanted to cause her so much pain that she would beg to die and even then he woud make sure it was a slow death.
