5+ months of Bush remain.

I believe either candidate will be better than "W". I live in the most Republican state in the Union. Why do I only encounter Bush Haters when engaging in politics conversations?

As a Republican candidate, I actually like McCain and feel that when people declare that "if McCain wins, it will be like another 4 years of Bush" is a falacy. Natually as a Republican he will have similiar views, but I still believe he is a good, smart person that brings much experience to the table.

My views tend to lean more Democratic however. I like Obama and his message. It seems to me that the controversy surrounding his Church and pastor have given many white people "on the fence" a good reason to vote McCain (in their minds).

I am voting in '08 and would like to know some of your opinions of the two men running.

I believe John McCain is a great man. A hero. I just don't believe he is a world leader. And after 8 years of W. there is no way I'd vote for a republican no matter whom it is. His age is of great concern too.

Obama is much younger. I like a lot of his ideas and I don't like a lot of his ideas but in this election he is the clear choice for me. I think he has a lot to learn but I think he is willing enough to learn, unlike the clown that has been in there the last two terms.

Having met Obama and spoken with him, he impressed me by listening to my questions and answering them with honesty. Using that as a sole barometer isn't fair to McCain... but I don't agree with jack squat from McCain anyway.
President Obama in 08. Works for me.

Wife's grandparents are over. We are watching the Rep. Convention. I'm gonna puke listening to Giulianni work his negative campaigning against Obama while hardly saying anything good about McCain except for the fact that he is a war hero. The lack of experience line is getting old, especially considering all the experience in politics and military Bush brought with him in 2000.
