Help me please, The dreaded GLW problem

Hi Guys

Have tried to install my copy of Warchest on another PC - loaded fine but wont run as the following comes up:-

GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

Has anyone got any ideas on what to do please?

I have tried the following:-
1. Re-install Medal of honour (about 10 times!!!!)
2. Re-installed Windows XP
3. Updated all video drivers
4. Expanded Virtual Memory
..... and god knows what else!!!

Don't forget though before you install your new drivers make sure you uninstall the old one first as they do not overwrite.

Hi m8 that means the graphics card isnt capable or doesnt support the game .

( GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem)

If you look at system reguirements on Game box it mentions sum ting about openGL graphics card.

If the graphics card is ok you might need to tinker with its settings eek !!!!!!

What sort of graphics card is it?
A bit of information about the system would be useful.. what sort of age, cpu speed, even motherboard type if possible..

normally this is a video driver problem..

Well guys it would seem that after exhaustive tests and downloading of programmes and updates capable of running the US government, we have a successful installation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 'Hooray at last' I hear Angie cry!!

It is fair to say that the advice you gave me was very useful so thanks guys. I think the problem can be linked back to out of date video drivers and the updated ones are sooooooooo much better all round.

Once we sort the RAM out - 256 is not enough it would seem unless everything else (and I mean everything!) is shut down, hopefully I wont be able to give any more excuses for poor play (drat!!)

Though I think you are correct regarding the memory, you do need to increase that a little bit ... lol
